Circle of we materials support

  • Starter kits are intended for new/fledgeling programs where materials are the only remaining barrier to launch. Recipients of a new program resource kit will be asked to make some choices to customize their kit for their context, such as selecting between blue or purple for advent materials.

Organizations based in the U.S. with leadership and volunteer support for their new program are eligible to apply. A limited number of kits will be awarded.

What’s in a kit? Godly Play Resources has prepared resource kits containing core materials for your first program year. The kit contains a mix of complete sets and DIY materials that require some assembly. Virtual DIY workdays and other support for materials assembly will be available to recipients.

  • Enhancement materials are intended for established programs whose current budget is a barrier:

    • to their equity efforts, or

    • to expand their program from core stories and incorporate the next levels of the spiral curriculum.

Organizations based in the U.S. with an established Godly Play program that incorporates core stories are eligible to apply. A limited number of packages will be awarded.

Recipients will be asked to make a selection to suit their context from the following:

    1) Sacred Story Extension Package

    2) Great Mysteries Extension Package

    3) Parable Extension Package

  • An application can be submitted by lay leaders or paid staff, but the requesting organization must have at least one Core-trained individual on its Godly Play team. All recipients of Circle of We support must agree to respond to feedback requests (2-4 over 12 months). We will check in on how your materials are being used and what impact Circle of We is having on your program.

Before you apply, prepare the following:

    1) Secure a short letter from organizational leadership (clergy, vestry, board, etc.) verifying that your program has support from your organization and leadership to thrive in the first year.

    2) Take a photo of the space and furniture you have prepared for the storage and display of your materials (new programs) or of the established classroom where your enhancement materials will go (established programs)

    3) Identify the Core-trained champion on your team responsible for communicating with Godly Play Foundation about your materials. This individual will make final selections and receive, assemble, and care for the materials. They will also be the primary contact for feedback requests.
